| I would watch for tapeworms. Charlie had them and the stool sample never showed anything. He started with mucous, then runny stools and then segments were visible. Her tummy may be upset, and I would recommend that if she doesn't vomit (pancreatitis) perhaps a bit of pepto would help reduce the acid and firm up the poopy. Good luck. Warmly, Deborah

| When mine had mucus in his stool it turned out to be a bad case of gastroenteritis. I suggest you take a sample to Koda's vet ASAP. It's definitely a sign of something going on. Good luck with your baby.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Poor baby Koda...I would take in another stool sample to the vet just in case...tell them Koda's symptoms. When they test the stool they don't test for everything...that happened to Izzy when we got her...the breeder had her tested and came out fine but when I took her to my vet they did another test and found out she had something else but they had to test specifically for that. Hope Koda gets better soon.

| Poor Koda. Mucus in Sissy's stool has always indicated Giardia (a parasite). It's not really the time of year for it, but you never know. Hope the little sweetie feels better soon!!!
