| Lump the size of a Pea?!?! So I was brushing Parker last night and was feeling around and checking his skin out and found a ball the size of a pea on his right thigh. I would say about where he got his last set of shots. This was about 2 weeks ago. Is that normal for him to have a ball like that on him, I am so scared now, should I take him into the vet? I squeezed it to see if it caused any discomfort and he just looked at me like "mom why are you poking at me" It didn't effect him at all. |

| Sometimes shots can leave a lump. If it doesn't improve I'd take him back to the vet. I think Rabies is the one that leaves a lump.

| I've heard a few times on here that shots can leave lumps. I'd wait a little while, and if it doesn't go down I'd go to the vet. In the meantime why don't you just call the vet, and see what they tell you to do.

| my 11 yr. old yorkie retains a 1" in diameter lump from her rabies shot for about 3 wks. she usually mopes around for about a wk. after her shots which is causing worry as she gets older. the 10 yr. old has a lump for about 1 1/2 wks. and the 11 mo. didn't have any reaction. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | The rabies vaccine IS given in the right thigh by most vets so when a problem does arise they will know what it was from. so that's probably what the little lump is. no worries unless it doesn't go away soon.
