Default How many days over 63 is it ok for Mom to carry pups?

I have a little girl I purchase when she was supposedly 4 weeks along, and due date was Nov 22. She is nesting happily, digging around and wanting me by her side at all times - BUT no signs of labor or distress. I can see the pups moving, I think 2 or 3. She had a litter of 5 the first of the year without any difficulty (according to the breeder - whom I have emailed and tried to confirm breed date, but no answer as yet). Please help me out if you have any experience with this. Thank you.

Default whelping

Most bitches whelp between 61 and 63 days ...but some go as long as 65 days and that can be from the last breeding...be sure you have a vet for an emergancy, just in case...all sounds well, best wishes...

Default thank you

thank you for your response. I will be in contact with the vet on Monday - if she doesn't settle down to business. I appreciate your prompt response & forgive my ignorance in using this medium.

Default breeding

It is my understanding that she was bred twice. First on Sept 20 and then again on Sept 22. The Breeder witnessed the tie both times. November 22 is 63 days from the first breeding.

So, Saturday would have been the 63rd day of her 2nd breeding. What you must remember that is that she may have been bred on those 2 days, but actual whelp day is dependent on when she concieved...which could have been a couple of days past the 2nd breeding.
