I guess there is a possibility that it could be something like hydrocephalus but it sounds like liver shunt or microvascular dysplasia. I'm sorry. What are her bile acid number? Does she tend to shake after meals?

oh no! I hate to read that she didn't make it Tinkerbelle is doing good still, thank goodness. She's losing more and more hair, I have a feeling that we will see the first ever hairless yorkie She's starting to look like a chinese crested. Still a cutie though and as long as she's eating and playing then I'll just have to make her some tiny clothes.

For the crashing she just has to be kept on a strict eating schedule for the fur (or lack of) she is being treated with a special shampoo, specifically for topical yeast infections. The vet said it might get worse before it get's better but since it was caught early maybe she will only lose her hair and not get the sores and scabs that can come up

How can you tell if they have a topical yeast infection? My little Phyllis looks like tink from the back. I saw a flea on her every now and then and she itches and the hair comes out. Just when it starts to grow out it ends on comming out again. Think she will never have hair back there! lol The vet thinks she is alergic to flea bites.

that'swhat they thought at first too but she doesn't have any fleas. It seems to be a trial by error type of deal

Default Help!

HELP!
my year old yorkie is vomiting a foamy saliva like substance. I heard this could be attributed to stress, and that is what i thought because she just had her first litter of puppies about a week and a half ago. however, i became worried when she vomited the foamy saliva with a pinkish liquid. could this be blood? should i take her to an emergency vet?
please help me!

This is altigger74 sister in law that owns Tinkerbell. The shampoo has chlorhexidine gluconate
with ketoconazole

It is an antiseptic cleansing.

I also use Mink Oil on the other dogs it helps with flee and hot spots. My friends cat had lost its hair to flees and se started using mink oil and its hair grew back and has a thick coat. The mink oil is by biogroom. You can get it at most pet stores or at www.jefferspet.com.

Hope this helps!!!
