I am not sure.... The skin is black. It is not bothering him, it just dosnt seem right. I beleive it is a waxey build up. It went around th outer part of his ears, and coveres his scrotum sack. Is it normal for the scrotum sack to be black?

No, it's not normal for the skin in those areas to be black. Could it be a buld up of dirt or soap from a bath or a combination of the two? How long has it been there and have you checked with your vet or groomer?

No, its definatly not a build up that is making the skin lack on thr scrotum. i notices this awhile ago, but did not knwo fi it was normal. A few days ago, we noticed a hardened build up. Its almost like a wax. pulling it off dosnt seem to bother him much, and the skin dosn't seem to be irritaded under it. But is dosn't seem right either.

I would suggest you take him to the vet and see what's going on. When was the last time he had a good bath? When you remove the build up from his scrotum, what color is the skin underneath?

He has been getting a bath about every 2 weeks. I have a female also and she dosn't have any of these issues. He has always had oozey eyes, but I dont think those correlate. I sure am glad to find this sight an at least get the oppertunity to chat with some one. i have been searching google for some clues and had no luck.

Oozey eyes can be a sign of food allergies and so can skin problems. What are you feeding them? Also, once a part of the build up is removed what color is the skin underneath? Is it healthy and pink or is it black?

Its is black. The hair around the edge of the ears hase come off with this build up also. I don't have much money, and they vet will charnge me a fortune, so I was hoping I could find some simluar problems and do a home remedy. He is definatley the Little Man of the house, and an awesome little guy. Should all of the skin be white/pink? All of the skin on his scrotom is black.

Sounds like yorkie crud or known as black ear.....Lotrimin 2% applied with a q-tip. You must keep him bathed and well dried...Yorkies in cold or humid climates are prone to it. Wow you live in AZ....amazing, but it does sound like black ear.

| Absolutely, and it will affect the hair on his hind quarters and will travel to his legs if left untreated.....There are other treatments for it....clorox...do a search on Black ear. Terri Shumski' (now deseased) has some info on her website....VassarSquare.com....her website is still up.
