We feel our YT members can be better informed and protected by having the Yorkies for Sale section be open for all. There have been many instances where members have learned through Yorkie For Sale threads what to look for in a breeder, and what not to look for in a breeder. We feel we can service the Yorkie community better by allowing members to seek Yorkies in our community, which can be more educational and informative than a Yorkie classified ad where members can not respond or ask questions.
At times, there are also more affordable Yorkies posted, which is what some members are looking for. Sometimes there are Yorkies which need to be rehomed. It is not likely that these members would donate first to post their Yorkie for Sale or Yorkie for Rehoming. We also require a rather lengthy form before For Sale ads are approved, which requires a breeder's name and phone number. While there may be a few isolated incidents of problems, this form helps alleviate potential problems with fraud.
We don't expect breeders to donate at all. At this time, we feel the Yorkies for Sale section is fine as it is. Thanks for your feedback. |
