| Neuter: What did you use? When your yorkie was neutered, what did you use? ( I would appreciate where you found the item if you used one.) Thank you!

| I used an inflatable collar from Petco and baby onsies I got at Walmart. I only used them for the first couple days. I was lucky that Kalani didn't bother with his stitches much.

| Winston didn't bother with his stitches, so I didn't have to use anything. But I think the onesie is a great idea, if needed.

| I bought little 3 mo size human baby onsies at Target for practically nothing and cut out around the bottom so Tink could poop without having the snaps hanging down or my taking it off so she could go poopy. worked like a charm. Later I trimmed them all around, hemmed them and she had 3 lovely T-shirts. |

| I got his funnel at PetSmart. When he was unsupervised in his crate we kept it on, but when he was with us he had it off. The reason we kept it on was because when he was bored, he would start licking and pulling. We didn't use the onsie because we were afraid of it rubbing a fresh wound and making it irritated.

| Gus freaked out with the collar so I used a baby onesie I bought at Target. During the night he managed to get to the stitches around the onesie and tear them out so I bought a pair of preemie pajama pants for him to wear to bed. I sewed the pants to the back of the onesie so they didn't fall down.

| When my husband called the vet today, he was told that the stitches will be "tucked under where he can't get to them". I have no idea what that means, but I guess we'll find out.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | it means that the stitches are internal and there are no stitches poking out on the outside. These stitches dissolve so you don't have to return to have then taken out. The dog is less likely to pull the stitches out BUT he can still irritate them by licking at the area which can cause it to open up. so he still needs to be kept away from them.

| We didn't use anything. Coby didn't bother his at all. He licked at them a few times but no big deal. My instructions said that some swelling was expected from the licking. But he didn't even lick enough for that. Coby did great (he and Aubrey had the same "date" - I think they competed for who was back to normal first!!). So have you made Gizmo's appointment yet?

| The Butter Bowl! they told me he wouldn't bother his sore so i didn't bother with it! BOY were they wrong when we got home thats all he did was lick it and start chewing on it! i called the vets they were closed and i called the emergency number and didn't get an answer! (you better believe i switched vets). so i impervised! i took a margerine (butter) bowl measured it with his collar cut it a tad smaller then put it over his head and put is collar on next! it never came off he couldn't reach it to bother it and i had to take him back to the vets in the morning! IT WAS SOOOOO FUNNY seeing him wander around the house with a butter bowl on his head! LOL
