We had Magic & Sailor microchipped about a year ago by the vet....and found out a month later that the local SPCA does it for a $10 dollar donation!!!

ABSOLUTELY!
I prefer AVID back in the day, but w/ some many new companies out there and readers, I think it's just important to get them implanted.
I've recovered two Akitas that have gotten on the wrong international flights pretty much SOLEY because of the microchip(s)!
Every animal I now have has one. I used to have two ferrets-and you guessed it-THEY even had AVID chips inserted!

All of my dogs are microchipped (not just my yorkies). I beleive in them.

Yes, ours is and I wanted to do it. It is mandatory now here in our area. Our daughter also said in North Carolina that it is mandatory there, but they don't require a dog license like they do here, but they do require micro chip.

I didn't know that in CA it is mandatory to have them microchipped?!?! Where do you live? All mine are chipped, so it doesn't really matter. Just thought I'd ask.
