Senior Yorkie Talker | What kind of Shampoo is best? What kind of shampoo do you use? I tried the expensive stuff but she seems to do better with human shampoo. I use herbal stuff on her. It makes her coat shiny and smells so good.

| My groomer just used the following on Samson last time he was groomed and he looked wonderful and still does after almost 2 weeks. I'm not sure if it's one or all of the products that made him look so shiny and soft but this is what she used and she's going to order everything for me. Green Tea & Mint Shampoo by Top Performance Silk Cream Rinse Conditioner by Bio-groom Honey Oatmeal Spray Conditioner by Royal Treatment I know some pet stores carry Bio-groom and Royal Treatment is sold on HSN.com and they have a website getroyaltreatment.com. Top performace and Bio-groom are also sold on petedge.com and I'm sure other sites as well. |

| I SWEAR by CC Systems...day to day kit. I also feed a premium food and monitor treats which I think helps alot, but even still, I cannot say enough good stuff aobut these products. Her hais although short and growing out is the best it has ever been. Alot of other members here also use their products and love them.

Yeah me too! I use human shampoo too. I tried several doggie shampoo's on Pippa but they all seemed to iritate her skin and give her flaky skin. With the human shampoo and conditioner her it soft, smells good and no flakes IMO As i tell my clients (I'm a hairdresser) Its hard to recommend shampoo as just because it suits one doesn't mean it will suit others.

I have also used Elvive, herbal essences but Alberto suited her best. But unfortunaltely it might not solve your problem as all hair and skin reacts differently, but its sure worth ago.

| My Vet said that human shampoo would make my new baby boy's flaky skin worse. She gave me a vitamin to add to his food to help his skin issues and his coat. She said just make sure to use a puppy shampoo instead of an adult dog one since they are a little less harsh. You may want to check with your vet before using human shampoo. Or use something really gentle like Johnson and Johnson Baby shampoo. |
