| I say NO in a deep and firm voice. But I never yell and NEVER hit my babies. I would cut off my hand first!

| Discipline is a concept we abandoned awhile ago. Far better to reward behaviors you like. No bad dog only wrong behavior. Jen |

| Not everyone has 12 like I do. I don't see "startle with a loud noise"...Fly Swatter hitting the counter works like a charm.."Hey! Dog Whisperer eat your heart out!!!" |

| I am a huge proponent of pennies in a can! I think it works great for barking. I actually ever really use the can anymore...that's how good it is. A couple of weeks ago, Chewy stole a little Darth Vader figure out of my son's room. When my son noticed that he was chewing on Darth, he freaked and said No Chewy!!! and went for it. Well, our little Chewy actually went for my son's hand and almost bit him! I was absolutely livid! I picked him up and very loudly and firmly said into that ittle face..NO BITE, BAD BOY!!! Just from one yell, he was cowering for 20 minutes or so and just sat in hte corner. When I walked past him he cowered down. It felt very sad to see him acting this way. He is so used to being spoiled that being yelled at for the first time in 10 months traumatized him! I can't imagine how a little puppy would feel or act if they were actually HIT! |

| Tap me on my fingers im bad bad bad ... i don't discipline my yorkies, maybe im doing it very wrong, but the method i use on them works like a charm for us, i think if i had to yell or be firm to them my husband will think i fallen off a rock When they do something they not suppose to i call their names to distract them and tell them to "come here". I think if they really did something that just can't cross the line i would tell them "NOOOOOOooooo"
