| no thank god!!! my husband was there for 6 months while i was pregnant with my son and i was so scared for him. but he is home and with his new job he doesnt have to go to iraq kuwait or afganistan. he's been to all three and always missed the special occasions for the first 3 years we were married. but i keep all the other soldiers and their families in my prayers cause i know what it feels like to have someone you love be in a dangerous place and not know what is going on .

| I had 4 cousins serve but are all back now and all are safe and sound. We are all so proud of them all! My very good friend lost his life there after only being there a week. It is so hard to deal with. We were high school sweetharts and stood really good friends. I miss him so much. We have stood frineds all these years and although his wife didn't care for me too much, my husband got along with him very well. I miss him every day! He was like a girlfriend that I could tell any and everything to.

| My son is there serving on one of the border transition teams with the Marine Corp. The teams were handpicked and my son is one of the youngest selected. They (each of the ten 10 man teams) are training a battalion of Iraqis on how to control their borders and prevent insurgents from enterring their country. What he is doing is dangerous as he is not on an American base - he's on an Iraqi base. He left on May 26th and won't be back until May next year. I fully support my son and his mission. I pray that our military men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan do not feel like the Vietnam vets did when they return home. Its either fight on their lands or on ours - I choose theirs.

I can not imagine not knowing what is going on in their lives but I trust in President Bush and that is doing best for our country!!
