| I do both LOL I do most of it but I like to take Kodi in because he loves the Groomer we use and that way he is not mad at me. He always acts mad for a day or 2 when I groom him and then I feel bad. |

| I have been grooming Buddy for almost 1yr. Reading some of the sad stories about groomer's ( not all are negligent) I am glad he made me learn. LOL Something happened the second visit to a new groomer and he bit her. Not bad but a warning bite. She said nothing happend to make him bite he just did. Strange. So next visit I stayed and he went bonker's when we went in the door. I even tried to bathe him myself, she let me and he would not stay in the tub. He was trembling and only wanted to get away. I thanked her and went straight to Petco bought supplies, went home and started grooming for the first time. Something happened, I'll never know what it was. He was three and had always gone every six weeks since 6mos. I liked her but he knew something that I didn't so I had to listen to him. I am glad I did. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I started myself after taking Lulu the first time. When I went to pick her up her face was cut lopsided, he had cut her way way down and I told him to trim her not scalp her and she was shaking like a leaf. When we went home hubby saw her and went bonkers. He wanted to go beat the groomer up because he was sure he had hurt her in some way. So I started slowly myself. I do a better job than he did and I save myself that $50 plus tip.

| I take Sapphire to the groomer. We were going to try ourselves, but we got scared about clipping her nails. I don't want to make her bleed.

| Actually Zoe has her first groomer's appointment on Thursday- this groomer came highly recommended and has quite a few yorkie clients. I spoke to her over the phone and she seems really friendly and caring. Will try to get in some before and after shots.

I Love My Babies Donating Member | i groom them myself. It is too expensive to take 3 of them to the groomers. And you never know how they are treated while they are there. At home, they are groomed with lots of love.

| I have only had Roxy for about 4 months, but for the most part, I have been doing most of her grooming myself. At first she hated all of it, but now she loves to be brushed and combed - usually 2-3 times per day! I took her to the groomer to have the hair between her pads clipped, and even though I was standing right there, I felt that the groomer was too rough. I hated the way she put that noose around Roxy's neck and made it too high for her to stand on all 4 paws. I decided then and there that other than taking her to the vet for her nails, I will learn to do all of her grooming myself. She may look a little rough around the edges while I am learning, but I know she is safe, and treated with the love, patience, and respect she deserves!

We then bought the majority of what we needed from Petedge. We have groomed Wrigley & Camden a couple times since, we haven't tried with Crosley yet, she's next. There is a learning curve and they do not look professionally groomed yet, but we figure we will get better with time! It's going to save us a ton of money in the long run and make it easier on them!
