I was just wondering how many people have already or plan to write letters to someone or do something to join the fight against puppy mills. I know that several YTers, including myself, have written e-mails to local news stations and newspapers. Please post below what you have done or plan to do.

yes i have already done something. i wrote to a news station and i plan to right to another one in a few days.

Currently I have not done all the much...when I talk to people who are thinking about getting a new little one I always tell them about puppymills and the dangers about them...I encourage them to ask lots of questions and report anything that sounds unlawful...and when the right situation comes up I will be ready to act to help the innocent puppies!!

You may not think that you have done much, but you have! Just telling people about puppy mills is doing something! We have to increase public awareness, and you are doing that!

I have been working with a friend of mine and spreading the word about puppy mills. I also added the mill buster site to my business card so that everyone can check out the site and learn about the mills.

You all know about the rest of what I have done so no need to go into detail.

I am ordering bumperstickers for all my family and friends as well as telling anyone who will listen how bad these things are and how many oklahoma has they are always shocked to learn that we have so many.

It is so great to learn how much everyone is doing to fight the puppy mills! I am so proud of everyone here and I just love being a part of this site!

well I emailed one letter to a radio station in regards to their sponsor petland that they were advertizing for, I am currently trying to locate this puppy mill in texas that was posted about these poor pups starving to death and she (swtnutns) was waiting for another call in regards to it to give us an update, so I am working on pulling up all the local radio, news channels in that area and congressmen that represent the state of texas! This s____T just gets my blood boiling so I guess you can say Im going to try and fight city hall or start a petition for a law to be passed in regards to these so called kennels aka puppy mills! that they must past inspections just like they do in restaurants! where the health department inspects them and closes them for violations etc.. I just need to make some noise, draw attention to what is going on here! have pet stores pay hefty fines if they buy live animals from mills. I had saved a web page were apollo has puppies listed there and I could not believe my eyes she said she ran a puppymill!! But I kind of think someone did post it? but Im glad

But my point here is even if she or she didn't posted she ran a puppy mill "people " are still wanting to buy these poor pups!! Are these people brain dead????? it shows me they just don't care until they run into problems then they take notice...

Here is a link to the thread I started sometime back trying to empower the members here who really want to do something. This is what I did. I am also researching the issue from both sides as I like to know as much as possible about a topic that I am passionate about. I despise animal cruelty in any form and have worked my entire life to stop it and I will continue in my efforts.

Haven't done much really. I talk to family and friends about puppy mills often. Hopefully they'll help us spread the word.

I posted this earlier today, to make it easy for some to sign the petition, for Oprah to have a show about Puppy Mills, I know we have talked on here abt the Oprah show, but I never had the link to sign, so I posted it.

I think it would do wonders to be on her show, the national awareness would be great,, and ya know OPRAH has the money to help! And we know she loves her cocker spaniels.
