| I throw the clothe ones in the washer and the plastic or rubber ones in the top rack of the dishwasher once a week. I'm a germ freak though |

| I wish there was a "Not often enough" radio button. My female only has couple of toys she plays with all the time. I through the cloth one in the washer every once in a while and the rubber ones in the tub with the grandkids about as often. Trish |

| I wash the ones they play w/ the most pretty often...I have never really thought about it, I just throw them in a mesh laundry bag or pillow case and put them in the washer with woollite.

My furkids Donating Member | I clicked once a month but, probably don't do it that often. I did more when they were younger because they played with them more but now that they don't play with them as much I don't wash them as often...They have 2 baskets of toys (and yes...I keep buying more!) they have certain ones that they love to play with and those get washed more often

| I said never... but that makes it sound icky... The ones we play with, after a week or so are just "done" so they go into the trash... the others that they don't play with just sit in the toybox keeping each other company...so they don't get washed either.

| This is sooo weird..My mom and I were just talking about this a few weeks ago....... I was watching an episode of dr phil. You would be amazed as to about how much fungus gets attracted to different places in your home. They did a test and showed thousands of bacteria in a lady's sink, and even fecal germs showed up their. Toothbrushes has fecal germs and different parts of her house. He said when you flush your toilet the germs spread up to 6ft. I began thinking of how animals use the bathroom outside and may run and play in the same area the next day or week. When they play with their toys their paws are getting on their toys and then their toys are in their mouth. When they put them in their mouth and get them wet, it increases the chance of bacteria, mold, and many other germs to attract to them....I WOULD WASH THEIR TOYS!!!

| You can wipe them down with clorox water or spray with a disinfectant. I love LYSOL spray! They also make Clorox clean-up wipes.

| I heard that you can put toys in a baggie and throw them in the freezer to kill the germs for kids toys...guess you do the same for doggie toys. I throw mine in the washer every so often.
