I have one of those carriers that looks like a purse and have taken Katie just about every where except a restaurant. I'm too scared she won't be still in her bag. One time, I was at Pay-less shoes and put the bag on the floor and it kind of started to bounce on down the isle.

Love Every where they are Allowed!

I try to take all 3 of mine where ever they are allowed......Artie my male is the only one I really take Shopping, he will wait quietly in the Shopping cart and even sit in the Dressing Room while I am trying clothes on? But the other 2 females want to be carried and whine when their Public does'nt pay attention to them so it gets quite irritating! But I definitly don't take him into any place that does NOT allow Dogs, I don't try to sneak him in either!
I personally feel grossed out if I see any Dog, in or out of a Bag, regardless of how cute or small it is? Inside any Grocery Store or any place with Food for that matter. I know I love my Dogs with all my Heart (Sounds corny but I can admit it to fellow Yorkie Lovers), but not everybody is a "Dog Lover", and I don't expect everyone to Love my Dogs as much as I do? So I don't think it's fair to sneak them into any place where they are not expected to be, plus I really don't care for the extra attention and rude comments from those who do not care for them? I don't like to see other peoples pets like; cats, ferrets or snakes wrapped around their owners neck either? Some things are really innapropriate in Public?

I voted 3 becuase there was only a few times I took Tino into stores where I was skeptical that I could walk around with him. Lowes and and hardware store doesnt care, nor the obvious pet oriented shops. Wegmans however..BIG no no! They kicked me out in seconds! I just had to go to the customer service counter but they flipped out! I was kinda embarrassed becuase they talked at me like a criminal for just stepping in the door. I'll never do that again. However I have had instances where I'v called from the car if I had to grab something at a store, becuase I refuse to leave my little man in the car.

i sneaked Tumi in to restaurants in nyc all the time. she is sooo quite and just sleeps in her bag. i sneaked her into Nobu in nyc once. we had 2 hr long nice dinner with friends and she was sleeping in her carrier the whole time. people never noticed since mine looks just like a purse. My hubby and i travel a lot and we always take the girls with us. i am so happy we are moving back to nyc in 2 months since it is a very pet friendly city!! we were in vegas a while ago and i really hate vegas..they are soooo not pet friendly..

Number 3 for me... I often take Meka with me to stores, however, only ones that allow pets. Usually any place that doesnt sell food

I don't really take Hannah in stores with me. I have taken her to wal-mart and lowes before, but I am afraid that they will make me leave. I take Hannah with me like to the bank or places where I can stay in the car or just run into the post office.

I take Lucy everywhere with the exception of food stores (or Target/Wal Mart when we were in NC). We have so many pet friendly restaurants in my area that mostly we eat at one of them when we eat out. Even my favorite Sushi restaurant has a patio and Lucy gets to come! My town is fairly pet friendly...The more high end the store - the more they welcome furbutts!

I take mine everywhere. I carry him in a puppy purse and like a previous poster said, just stick my wallet and cell phone in the side pocket. I marked #4 on the poll but it really wasn't intentional. When I 1st got him, we were at Target (that was intentional) and our friends called and wanted to meet us out for dinner. I had only had him a couple of days and would never want to leave such a little baby in the car - so I took him into the restaurant with us. He stayed in his puppy purse and didn't make a peep. I did feel guilty about it, but not enough to leave him in the car.
PS- Nobody even realizes or notices him in his puppy purse. I definitely try not to display him as I don't want the attention. He is there with me b/c I have to work during the week and hate leaving him. BTW Star Bucks always gives him a treat when we go through the drive thru. Too fun!

I take my boys to pet stores only. They're both teapots and can't be hidden in carriers. I'd take them more places if they didn't bark their little heads off at strangers though!

Rocky and Romeo love to go for a ride and inside stores. I usually take them where pets are allowed. Places like Petco, and Petsmart, etc. They are so good when we go shopping. Rosie does pretty good, but sometimes doesn't want to sit still. It's funny, it's my boys that like to go shopping. Darlene
