As I was relaxing in the den I happened to look out to the screen porch and this is the image looking back at me. Not sure if you guys see it as I saw it, but it resembled a face of someone looking in the den at me! Very detailed in person I had to get this pic. Actually it's the sun going down causing the shadow on the oak tree outside the porch. Has never happened again it actually stayed for awhile but changed as the sun continued to go down.

Oh, I think I see it - the kind of whitish looking orb with dark spots where eyes would be in a face, like overlying a tree trunk or something dark in the picture? I guess that would shock you until you figured out what it was!

Yes! It totally was I watched it for quite awhile as it would change to many different expressions. I took other photos as it changed and they all resembled a face. Nature does surprise us in so many beautiful and interesting ways! Certainly wasn't expecting a peeping tree!😃

Whoa! You are so matter of fact about it with your completely "logical" explanation. I am not convinced and not sure I wouldn't be looking over my shoulder all the time after seeing that. LOL. Great catch!

LOL I just had to post a dog picture, Gucci! Then I learned a little more about edible mushrooms last Fall, the phone isn't the best for photos but they do fit here. Then a few weeks ago fishing in E WA from my car topper boat, caught some nice trout and Zippy was a trooper on the boat and even during the 20* night camping. In case ya didn't know, I fish for tuna solo from a 17' boat 35-50 miles off the coast of WA. This photo is last summer with ONLY about 16 fish I caught. My best day was 26 tuna in one day fishing solo!

Loved the flowers and that Tuna!

These two pictures were taken in 2014 on Oak Island in North Carolina. Our very good friend passed and we hurried down for the service, about 12 hours away. Very bitter sweet to see such beautiful sunrises and sunsets while celebrating our friend's life.

Great thread! Love the mood in your photo. It can be eerie/scary or very romantic. I didn't realize you don't get a lot of fog. We get quite a bit actually. Around here they say we'll get a substantial amount of rain 90-100 days after a fog. I caught this one of the sunrise through the fog a week or so ago and thought it gave an interesting feel too.

First picture is Union Square in San Francisco. Look closely at picture 2 and 3, see how steep some of the streets are here? Wear comfortable shoes when you visit.

Here in the desert, we almost never, ever have fog...so when we do, it's such a cool treat. I took this pic a few weeks back from our courtyard on a foggy morning...I kinda like the "mood" of it. I used some actions on it to get the effect it has...

I was watching TV the other day and the girl went crazy, sniffing and barking and finally jumped off the sofa and off they ran. I started smelling something odd and have heard the sometimes spirits have different types of odors, so I picked up my phone and got this shot.




Then just the other evening, my husband and I were playing Sequence, a board game. The girls were on their bed snoozing and all of a sudden they started barking like crazy, each looking up and down at the exact same thing and running under the table so I took this picture at the spot they were barking at.
