So smart! Great idea!!! I had my old desktop crash and I lost so many photos of my kids & my last yorkie... during that period of time when I switched over from an old film camera to digital...but yet hadn't experienced enough to know how important backups are .

| thanks, everybody! i made an account at shutterfly and they have this express uploader that let me drag 270 pics to be uploaded all at once. it's awesome! especially since snapfish was so difficult. i figure i'll do this all night then send them to yet another site later this week as more back up. i have flash drives & cd's but i don't have anything that would hold this amount of photos. thank you, thank you!!!

| It is a good idea to have many different backups of our precious photos and videos! I did not have much backup before my computer got a virus and crashed. Finally, after several tries, a saint friend salvaged it with all of its precious content and I bought a 500 gig hard drive, backed up everything on it - and it failed!!! So, I went to the smaller jump drives, some CD's and online backup, too, just to be as well-covered as I can. Go ahead and stay up nights uploading - you won't be sorry and, others can see them, too, online.

| yes, i don't have to be up early tomorrow so i plan on getting them all done. it's taken about an hour for approx. 1,000 pics so it shouldn't take long! i had a big pc scare about a month or so ago. i was trying to go to this site my bff was on and i misunderstood what she said and went to something horrible!!! i got a virus and my pc wasn't even recognizing windows, i thought it was done for! i had a pc programmer look at it and tell my hard drive was fried! well my friends bf, with no pro training, figured it out and had it fixed in a week! Thank God!

| Yes, and thank God for those that save our computers! I was so grateful all of my images are safe. Plus, I had hours of audiobooks saved on mine in addition to folders and folders of pictures. I was so grateful to get it all back!

| We use SmugMug. It does have a yearly fee but I love that it saves the original file size and friends and family can actually copy the file over to their computer if they desire. We've been using them for probably 7 years...love them. |
