| Okay this may sound weird, please read, camera question :) You know when you look through a viewfinder you close the eye that isn't touching the eye piece? Well, I can't do that! I can't even wink with one eye, I just can't, I am jealous of people that can, lol, I always wanted to wink at someone Anyhoo, is anyone else like me? Does it affect camera use? I am so use to just looking at a viewfiner and taking a pic. Can you take pics through the viewfiner with DSLR? Sorry if this sounds like a strange post, I hope you know what I am saying!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You don't have to close one eye to take a pic...and some pros even train themselves to stop closing one eye bc it really does strain the eye and cause tension there. There are DSLR cameras now that do have "live view" - where you can "see" the picture on the screen, rather than through the viewfinder (like, my D90 has liveview). I'm not sure which Canons have it, but I'm sure some Canon folks would know ...

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I think we're all used to closing the un-used eye...and that's what I do...but I sometimes try to leave it open bc that eye does get "sore", or something? Or tense? Esp. when doing macro stuff, for some reason. But, I do find it hard to keep both eyes open...I think you have to train yourself to get used to that. But if your camera has Live View...then you don't even have to worry about it. Of course Live View doesn't always work - like say, in super bright sun, it's sometimes hard to see a digital camera's screen - do you know what I mean?

| Can you you use your "free" hand to hold your eye closed? I tried it, both hands on the camera, & it worked fine.
