| Canon SLR questions.... I'm looking at some different cameras and just wondering what the primary differences between these two are: Canon Rebel XS Canon Rebel XSI And for those of you who have these particular cameras, are you happy with them? Any complaints? Thanks! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | For starters...the mega pixels 10 vs 12. The lcd screen is smaller on the xs and the autofocus is less.

You can do a detailed comparison on the following web page. Just drag & drop the cameras on the left into the boxes at the top. EOS (SLR) Camera Systems - EOS Digital SLR Cameras - EOS 35mm SLR Cameras - Lenses - Flashes - Wireless File Transmitters - Product Comparison - Canon USA Consumer Products

| I have the XS and my mom has the XSI! I LOVE my camera, there is not alot of difference between the two. Like someone else said the megapixel and screen size. We both took pics at a christmas party and mine were as good as hers. The price difference is what made me choose the XS. I also had a couple of lenses from a Canon Rebel 35mm camera and I wanted to use them with the digital. All Canon lenses are interchangable! Good luck!!!

| I got the Canon XSi for Christmas, and so far I like it. I had the Rebel G and a couple of extra lenses, so I stuck with Canon. Just a note, though. My old lenses are Quantaray, not actually Canon brand, and they don't always work with the more manul settings--aperture priority, etc. It will take one and then freeze up. But they seem to work with the more automatic modes, so better than nothing!

| I love my XS and from my research, didn't find any major differences between the XS and XSi that would concern me. I'm very happy with my camera!
