| Big Green Egg So earlier this year my hubby surprised me with a Big Green Egg. Although I am still a novice BBQer, I am in LOVE with this grill - it is absollutely amazing. Just curious - any other BGE lovers here at YT? |

| I have never even heard of it until now. The reviews say it is good. But it's not cheap.

| The BGE is used several times a week. It is such an amazing piece of equipment - you can BBQ, smoke, grill, slow cook, bake cakes. I understand that pizza cooked in the BGE is incredible. |

| How cool! It's one of those items I have on my wishlist of cooking gadgets. It is expensive but I want the mini one since I only really cook for my daughter and I.

It is so efficient with charcoal that I use less than half of what my son uses in his kettle doing the same cook. And even better when you have finished cooking your meal, you shut it down and still have good charcoal to start your next meal. | |

| What brand/type of charcoal do you have the best success with? I have always used lump charcoal, never brickettes. For a long time I was a charcoal snob and used only the BGE brand. But it was pricey and even though the grill is very efficient, I was going through a large BGE bag per week. My daughter turned me on to the Cowboy lump that is sold at Costco in 36 lb. bags. It is my new favorite. |

| I thought about getting a small one but can't find any $$$$$ on any of them. Dh + I are only in our home now, but I might like one that would cook for four, recommendations please.

| It is just my husband and myself most of the time. We got the medium - and I am very glad we did. I can grill enough for 4 hearty eaters - or I can grill a steak + all the fixins' for the two of us. One of my favorites is pork tenderloin, grilled squash, sweet potato and some good ole garlic bread. You can grill without using all of the surface, but if you need more room and you don't have it, well you are in big grillin' trouble. |

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Hi Cindy, oh my, reading about the big green egg, and all the fixin's you do on it, I gotta get one for my daughter and her hubby. Where did you buy yours, what is the cost for a medium? Now it is time for me to see what I can fix for a 11:00 pm snack . |
