Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | What Apps / Munchies Do You Serve At Parties? We're having a party this month for around 50 people, and I'm looking for appetizer / munchy ideas...nothing too complicated or fussy. I'll do the usual cheese plate, veg/fruit plate, chips/salsa/con queso, nuts, mex-art dip, crackers, something sweet...blah blee....any other ideas???

| There are a couple of spices from Tastefully Simple that make good dips. Garlic Garlic, Spinach & Herb or the Fiesta dip are all delicious. Shrimp and cocktail sauce always goes over well too.

| Sounds fun! Any special occasion? As for suggestions - How about baked ziti? You can make it the day before and then reheat. Same for broccoli and shells w/ garlic and oil. Serve it with a nice loaf of italian bread. I also like a nice big fruit salad at parties. Also you could make some foccacia pizza. I like to make mine with just olive oil and italian herbs brushed on top or with artichoke hearts and some lemon zest. If you dont feel like making the dough, you can just buy one at a pizzeria and add your toppings etc. These hold up at room temp.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I like those mini quiches served in tiny pastry shells. I was recently at an event where for the first the time party sandwhich or tea sandwhich was served - delish. You can fill the loaf with what-ever innards you want - you remove the crust from the bread of course and you can do the usual rounds or keeping the bread flat using cookie cutters make interesting shapes of the mini sandwhiches. Watercress and cucumber tea sanndwhich was just great - I had not had that in an age! I also like a spicey crabmeat dip too.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Sorry one more thought - do you have a specialty business there that makes edible centerpieces? That is still unique.

| Three things I serve at parties and have taken to big gatherings that were an absolute hit and super easy, all from Costco: 1. they have a big bag of frozen Italian meatballs (small-ish) that are delish warmed with a BBQ type sauce or sweet & sour sauce. 2. The other fav is pot-stickers or their mini chicken cilantro wontons, served with a couple different sauces like a soy/rice vinegar, and a sweet chili sauce and a peanut sauce. 3. The last fav is kelbasa sausage, sliced into 1/4" thick oval pieces, put on a foil lined cookie sheet under broiler to crisp the edges a bit, toss with BBQ sauce, little more broiler, and wow people go crazy over them.

| I always do a med platter with salami, pepperoni and whatever other meat available (if you do meat for guests - otherwise - use meatless alternatives!) and then black and/or green olives, feta cheese cubes, bread sticks, hummus, cherry tomatoes, marinated mushrooms and/or different types of olive oil. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I make these little shells and I fill them anything. . . Mexican, quiche filling, even tuna salad and chicken salad. You can make the shells before hand except for things you are going to cook inside. i also make mini rice balls, beef teriyaki appetizer,; slices of beef wrapped around water chestnuts on a toothpick, mini chicken pot pies, also I made baked ziti and put them in mini cupcake pans to bake. You can do the same thing making little meatloafs and pipe whipped mashed potatoes on top

| Deviled eggs used to be real popular 40 years ago, not so much now, but they are easy. Stuffed mushrooms is easy and not complicated, just pull the stem, stuff anything you want in the cap and bake. Ground pork with your seasonings or a breakfast sausage like Jimmy Dean, cook it, mince it small in the pan, drain, add cream cheese while meat is still warm, mix and season to taste, place a dab in the cap, do not over fill, parmesan on top is a nice touch..... google a recipe, but you can make it as simple or complicated as you want. Stuff them the day before, refrigerate, cook them the day of. We're also big pot sticker and meatball fans here... freezer section at the store makes it easy... look up some sauces and chinese mustard. Robyn makes some awesome lumpia but there is a bit of a process making them. Shrimp rangoon(sp), she just mentioned. Kinda depends on your guests, champagne or beer? |

| tabouli is one of my favorite salads. So easy. Match it with hummus, tzatziki and a veggie platter. If you want to make toum (lebanese garlic sauce) It's addicting! Shrimp skewers, can be served hot or cold. with lemon, garlic and dill Meatball idea is always popular. Keep them in a crock pot to keep warm. Ceviche in a bowl, then put tostada shells nearby. Maybe avocado on the side? Or mexican shrimp cocktail? Cucumber and onion salad w rice vinegar, sesame seeds and sugar or Mirin

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Wow, all such great ideas!! The meatballs would work great bc I could keep them warm in a crockpot. LOVE potstickers...didn't even think of that...

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Went to a blind wine tasting party last night and there were some AWESOME appetizers there, omg. One really fab and easy idea was doing a caprese salad as a toothpick appetizer - brazilliant! What she did is take a decorative toothpick - and put a 1/2 of a cherry tomato on there, then a little piece of mozzarella, then a little basil leaf - have a whole bunch those prepped on a plate - drizzle the plate w/ a balsamic glaze - SO GOOD and super popular too. Then also, she had some sort of phyllo cup w/ spinach/cheese inside - which was insanely de-LISH and I'll post the recipe if I can get it.

| Like a spanikopita? That's one of my favorites! I'd never try to make it though. I can't imagine messing with phyllo.
