| Good health foods What kind of healthy stuff do you like eating? I eat lots of spinach, turkey, chicken breast, brown rice, oatmeal (with cinnamon but no sugar), bananas, strawberries, mangos, cantaloupe, carrots, peanuts, and eggs on the 7 days, 5 nights a week I eat healthy. I love putting hot chiles in everything too lol. I mostly cook in olive oil too. I completely eliminated pasta and anything with potatoes. What are some other really good health foods? I can't say I'm too into kale nor swiss chard; I strongly prefer spinach when it comes to leafy greens.

| Two days a week, my house is veggies/fruit only.....I had heard somewhere that if you designated ONE day to eating veggies and fruit only, you would.....then tons of statistics and numbers I can not remember, but chances of colon cancer plummet, weight drops, calories drop, memory improves, on and on and on. So, I figure if we do TWO days a week, we may put a dent in calories, cancer and heart disease in this house! I can honestly say I feel absolutely NO different, no healthier, no lighter, no smarter, etc.....but maybe it is happening unbeknownst to me! |

| I eat meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. Occasionally I will eat fruit and sometimes tree nuts like walnuts. I don't eat grains of any kind, processed food, dairy, soy or legumes. I cook in butter or coconut oil only and use olive oil on my salads. I can't believe you don't like kale, it's a superfood. I am not able to tolerate many processed foods. I also don't eat potatoes or legumes. I follow a paleo diet and very low carb. I am very healthy...still a little overweight but that's from dinners out with friends and "cheats". Since I don't eat grains, i do make a almond flour flax hot cereal and top it with cinnamon and walnuts and a little maple syrup. The carb load is much smaller that way. I also make my own granola and pancakes using coconut flours and nuts instead of high carb junk. I am very healthy as a result of eating this way. I'm a little overweight for my petite frame but my blood pressure is textbook, I take no medications, and my cholesterol and lipid panels are amazing even with horrible genetics and family history of diabetes and cardiac issues. I feel blessed to have found what works for me but I need to stop reverting back to the way I ate before. I'm really passionate about this topic.

| I know Kale is a superfood, but so is spinach, and I love spinach. Don't know why I didn't list fish. I pretty much love any fish pan fried in a little olive oil. I have never heard of coconut flour; thanks! I'll have to look that up.

| A few years ago I went on the 17 Day Diet which sounds kind of gimmicky but was actually the healthiest I've ever felt. Written by a physician. I lost 27 pounds and have 7 back on but I am motivated to resume where I left off. Basically lean protein, veggies, two servings of yogurt/ per day and also two servings of fruit per day (before 2 p.m.) the premise is the sugar needs to be burnt early enough so that you will burn fat. Lot's of water, green tea and moderate exercise. A friend of mine had lost a lot of weight on it and was looking and feeling great so I tried it. The hook is that if you stick to it you will lose 10 lbs in 17 days and I did exactly that. It was so motivating that I continued with it until I reached my goal. I never derailed totally which has kept me wearing the same pant size But it's the white stuff flour, pasta, sugar that seem to be the problem for me…so I cleared out the cupboards and am just starting back. It was such an easy diet to follow once you got in the rhythm of it. I looked forward to whatever I was eating and except for days where I didn't eat enough protein I was always satisfied. It was a very portable diet…I could find food to eat on any menu which was great. |

| I only meat and/or carbs for one meal each day, the rest is all veggies and fruit. However I am not counting eggs or seafood as meat. I love quinoa. I sub that instead of rice. You can make it hot or cold in a salad. Toss into some tabbouli. Sprouted seeds/grains are very good for you. I sprouted some lentils and used it in a salad. Lentils in general are very nutritious. I've been using chickpea flour instead of regular flour for breading things, but not for baking desserts(don't eat them). I'ts just finely ground up raw chickpeas so you get extra protein and no carbs from the flour. I've used it to batter fish and chicken. You can fry or bake and still get a crispy texture and doesn't hold a lot of oil and stays crispy for a long time. I hate kale also. LOL I was putting it in my smoothies for a long time but I just hate how it changes the texture of the smoothie and takes forever to wash. I am obsessive about cleaning kale bc of all the ruffles. I found a baby snail in one once. I don't want to eat a snail hiding in there. Also read there was a mad who ate a salad with a slug or something in it and it had carried some disease and he died.

I love hummus too. So easy to make at home to and a lot cheaper! Make sure you get tahini in there though. I like to have hummus in the fridge all the time and if I get hungry I eat some straight or with carrot sticks. Been making chicken salad too but putting in like 90% apples and 10% chicken. And instead of all mayo, 25% mayo and 75% greek yogurt. Tastes so good.

| agree that the key is fiber and enough protein…I really don't miss carbs once I'm off of them…They are very addictive but once you stop they just seem like 'fillers' I do eat sweet potatoes from time to time. My blood sugar seems more stable…not that I test it but I don't feel those highs and lows. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I do not like to overload my stomach so I eat small things during the day. I love Yogurt and granola, fresh orange and toast. Eat a banana or sliced apple around lunch, applesauce, little cheese, salad with spinach, kale, red and green peppers, avocado, cheese, tomato, celery with olive oil dressing. The key to keeping weight down is small portions. Just eat less. Stuffing yourself is not healthy. I like white wine in the evening. A little cup of Tillimook vanilla ice cream. Just eat for health, no fried foods, try to eat fresh fruits and veggies. I Like my coffee. Here's to good health and happiness and always ask blessings over your food and be thankful. |

| Due to some problmes, I became extremely depressed ans started eating too much. In the end, I started gaining weight and my health also started declining and It was a complete mess. Fortunately, my friends and family helped me in this situation. I avoided all kinds of processed and junk foods and started eating some healthy foods especially Super foods like leafy greens, lean meat, fish, nuts etc. and started exercising regularly. In just 3,4 months my weight significantly reduces and now I've lost almost all of my annoying fat. Just be consistent and determined and you can easily lose weight. |
