| How often do you eat sweets/dessert? I'm not proud of this... but I LOVE sweets!!! I eat something just about everyday. Some days I do better than others.... but most days I have something sweet. I try to not buy things myself too often, but people at work have them. Today I had 2 mini York Peppermint Patties and 3 butterfinger eggs (the small ones for easter). Yesterday I think I had 2 mini Peppermint Patties. I rarely eat dessert though, I never bake and have baked goods at home... but I always have frozen yogurt, which I indulge in about 3x a week at least. IF something is chocolate I'll usually have to have some, but if it's not chocolate I rarely have it. My biggest weakness is M&Ms and the peanut ones top the list. I'll see them, resist them and obsess until I just go get some. Ice cream is my next list topper. I don't care what anyone says.... fruit does NOT take away chocolate cravings! LOL So how much sweets do you eat? I'm curious if I'm normal or eat WAY more than the average person!

| You sound a lot like me...although I love to bake but don't very often because I would eat everything up. I also go in spurts what I like...sometimes its fruits, sometimes chocolate, sometimes cake or jolly ranchers or other sucky type candy...whatever it is it seems like I have to have some every day for a couple weeks and then im on to something else on my list. Im the type that would prefer to eat dessert first!

| Probably 3 - 5 times a week and the most common form is my 3 teaspoons of sugar in my Diet Coke. If I do buy a candy bar twice a year or so, I usually eat it in stages over days - not a full candy bar or full piece of cake or even chocolates - just part of it. I used to eat way more sweets but got a lot more health-conscious and now just eat that sort of thing as a very special treat. In the past, I couldn't keep sweets in the house - I would eat them right up! About 8 years ago, that changed and now I can keep anything in the house and it will just stay there. I have chocolate-covered cherries still in the box from Christmas, frozen Hostess cupcakes from last fall or summer in the freezer, sherbet and ice cream so old it needs to be trashed - all uneaten. I have Cadbury Eggs and Peeps waiting for Easter - all waiting but in the past - they would be gone the night I bought them!!! I used to have a Honey Bun for breakfast quite often but it was tiny, 180 cals. and about 20-something grams of carbs. with barely any glazing. But I was hungry again in 2 hours so gave up on those except one ever so often. Now I just have my cereal or protein bar for breakfast. On Valentine's Day, I had 3 chocolates of 40 calories each. I used to eat 1/2 a box of 80 - 100 calorie chocolates on that day! But I found a company that makes tiny chocolates and they aren't too bad if you need a choc fix. Before and for a year after I had hip surgery, I did have extra milk, soy milk, sherbet and ice cream but it was eaten in place of and besides half a regular meal usually. That's the only way I can keep from gaining weight since I'm not as active - eat less bad stuff. Right now, I am starving for some ice cream since it's been a long, long time since I've had any good old Blue Bell!!! I do still love sweets but no longer crave them as I used to do.

| OMGoodness! We all sound like we should be as big as a house. LOL It's a battle I fight every day. Because I'm diabetic, I'm not supposed to eat sugar. I don't drink soda or coffee, I'm a water girl. I don't eat sweets everyday but I would if I didn't have a really good reason not to. LOL I like a little ice cream once in a while but I have a sweet tooth for Recees (sp?) Peanut Butter cups. I'm bad!! if I followed every rule I'm supposed to follow, I'd be a skinny mini and that's just not how it is. LOL Ya'll are making me drool!!!

| I only eat desserts when it's a holiday or special occasion. But I do have a sweet tooth. I eat chocolate almost every day. Hershey kisses, M&M's, Hershey Bliss, Dove chocolates. Chocolate is my favoritel. But I do ride the exercise bike everyday, in my defense LOL. ALso, they say that dark chocolate is very good for you. |

| I can resist all those things you said too..... I LOVE ice cream! OMG... I can eat it everyday. I just found Hood Greek frozen yogurt in Double Chocolate chip. Its sooooooo good! Very chocolately with plenty of tiny chocolate slivers in it. Its VERY good! I love it so Im happy about that. Ive been buying sugar free pudding, chocolate and cheesecake flavors and dipping fresh fruit into it or eating it with no sugar added whipped cream. I bought sugar free jello, but who am I kidding... I hate the stuff! Im trying to find recipes that are less sugar and I bought some Truvia sweetener for my morning shakes. I buy plain yogurt now and blend it with frozen berries, water and some truvia. It makes a good shake, but I think I need to get some protein powder to mix in so it stays with me.

| This is depressing. If you guys are overdoing it then I need to join Sugar Eaters Anonymous. I'm dieting now, so I only had a popsicle and a fudgesicle today. A really bad (but somewhat normal) bingy week would look like (approx.) 3-4 large Slurpees Nearly a half gallon of ice cream 2-3 candy bars and/or half bag of chocolate candy PopTarts A couple small bags of fruity candy 10 bowls of sugary cereal Nope, no diabetes.

| Oh wow!!!! You girls are making me feel good! Lol. I do not eat sweets for meals (I.e. pop tarts, sugary cereals). I don't drink sweets (I.e soda, fruit juice) except wine. No sugar or creamer in coffee, just 1% milk. But I love candy and ice cream. Mainly chocolate....the rest I could care less about! So daily sweets eating is kind of normal?

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I only eat desserts when it's a holiday or special occasion. I dont make them and I try not to buy them. Bring a cake or box of cookies in this house and they disappear in less than 2 days. My DF eats them like they are and gosh darn Twinky going out of style or something. Plus I was heavier years ago, been there done that, never going back. I feel better about myself even at 165 lbs. SO sweets are out! But oH lets say about once a month I crave chocolate !!

| Ok Im going to start a new thread. This one is for suggestions for lower calorie treats, sweets, desserts, etc.... I need help with this because I love my sweets, and I'm working out a lot and not losing weight. I need to satisfy my sweet tooth w/o all the calories.

| I think Lisa and I are the only ones who aren't addicted to sweets. I'm just back from a week long cruise and not once did we have dessert. I don't snack on candies, or drink juice or sugary drinks. Not even lemonade or OJ. Well not unless there is more rum in it than juice anyway.
