| Dessert Recipes I thought we could share some of our dessert recipes here. Even experimental ones. lol What are your favorites? Dawn (dawn27) gave me a simple recipe for bread pudding which I was craving and it came out great! I just tweaked it and added a can of apples and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Bread Pudding: 1 loaf texas toast bread (tear or cubed) I used Hawaiian sweet bread instead. put in buttered or sprayed glass baking dish (9x13) 1 qt. half n half dairy 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1/2 C brown sugar 3 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla Mix all wet ingredients until well incorporated and pour over bread. Let soak up until all bread is well soaked and has absorbed all of the wet ingredients. (about a half hour) Rotating mixture every 10 mins. to assure total and equal coverage. Bake at 350 deg. for 35-40 min. until golden brown on edges. Cut a large piece for yourself while still warm, place in a bowel sprinkle with sugar and add milk. Enjoy ! Must be refrigerated but can be warmed back up in the microwave. Now my sister just gave me a recipe for a blueberry coffee cake that is going in the oven tonight. Don't mind my lazy style lattice work. lol Ingredients Water - 1/4 cup Sugar - 4 cup Yeast - 1 packet Butter - 1/2 cup Eggs - 1 Milk - 1/3 cup All purpose flour - 3 cup Salt - 1/2 teaspoon Cream cheese - 8 ounce Egg yolk - 2 Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon Lemon rind - 1, grated Frozen blueberries - 1 cup Directions MAKING 1. In a bowl add a quarter cup of warm water. 2. Add a teaspoon of sugar into it. 3. Sprinkle a packet of yeast on top of it. 4. Keep aside for 10 minutes. 5. Add ½ cup of butter into the mixture. 6. Pour a beaten egg over it. 7. Add 1/3 cup of milk. 8. Add 3 cups of all purpose flour into the dry ingredients. 9. Add a quarter cup of sugar. 10. Add ½ teaspoon of salt. 11. Knead to make nice and soft dough with an electric mixture. 12. Knead lightly with hands. 13. Cover with a cloth and keep aside. 14. In a bowl arrange the filling ingredients and add 8 ounce of cream cheese. 15. Pour two egg yolks on it. 16. Add 2/3 cup of sugar. 17. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla over it. 18. Sprinkle grated rind of 1 lemon over it. 19. Combine the ingredients with an electric mixture. 20. Divide the dough into thirds. Keep aside 1/3 of the dough for later use. 21. Roll out the remaining 2/3 of the dough into a 13 by 9 rectangle. 22. Place it into a greased tin and press it to cover the sides of the pan. 23. Scoop the filling into the pan on top of the dough and spread evenly over the crust. 24. Spread 1 cup of frozen blueberries over the filling almost covering it and press lightly. 25. Roll another portion of the dough into a 10 inch square. 26. Using a pastry cutter cut into 1 inch ribbons. 27. Arrange the strips diagonally across the pan filling it across the edges. 28. Cover it with a plastic wrap and refrigerate it more 2 hours or overnight. 29. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 40 minutes until golden. SERVING 30. Slice and serve.

| It came out wonderful! The only thing is it's not as dense as Texas toast so I had to reduce the liquid or it would have turned to mush.

Check after 20 minutes, if the crust gets too brown, wrapedges with foil. Let cool for a couple of hours before slicing. I couldn't find my round pie plate...it had legs and walked off. So I had to improvise.

My furkids Donating Member | dump cake this is an older recipe but EXTREMELY tasty....not for those wanting to loose weight... VERY EASY! 9x11 cake dish...preferably glass 1 LG can crushed pineapple (undrained) 1 LG can cherry pie filling 1 box white or yellow cake mix (here comes the fattening part!) 2 sticks of butter grease and flour pan. Dump (undrained) pineapple and cherry pie filling into pan. Spread evenly. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over fruit. Slice butter over top of cake mix. you should slice enough to completely cover the cake mix so don't slice to thick. Bake at 350 for 45-55mins...serve warm with vanilla ice cream

If you guys like banana then you will love the banana pie! My hubby is very picky and is such a critic so when he says he really likes something I know it's good. He actually requested this again already. He loves it.
