| County Fair Food It's opening weekend of the Orange County Fair. Decided to check it out with $2 admission before 11am. OMG, I can't believe I PAID these people to make me even fatter! Between the two of us, we spend about $40 in food, and with parking and tix about $50 in less than an hour. And it was so packed already. People drinking beers already too LOL. What recession? really? Anyway, here's some pics of the food we got, and some pics of some other funny fair food that I wasn't brave or dumb enough to try. #1 was a huge grilled sausage with onions/peppers. I only ate about 1/3 of it. This is saved for later. Not bad. $9 #2 soggy blech $10 chili cheese fries. finished about 1/10 of it #3 $6 fried pickles for 5 pieces. #4 Mexican funnel cake LOL. It's Mexican bc they used churros.

| Check out the signage for this stand. Defibrilator standing by! Chocolate covered bacon seems to be the thing this year. Haven't seen it in years past. Check out the HUGE bacon wrapped turkey leg. They claimed over a pound of bacon is wrapped on each. One please! Oh and the "porkabello" kabobs. LOL Mushrooms stuffed with gouda wrapped in bacon and them fried and served on a stick!

| NO! And turkey legs that I've had are already really salty! Imagine it wrapped in bacon! One of the signs was a little boy, maybe about 7 holding up two of these things! They were bigger than his head! LOL

| Oh man! All of that looks so GOOOD! I love love LOVE fried pickles! The NC State Fair isn't until September I think. Last year I tried chocolate covered bacon, a Krispy Kreme burger, and fried oreos (I've been dying to try those for years!)...I passed on the fried butter and the fried Kool-Aid...hopefully they'll be back this fall though! This stuff is so ridiculously overpriced but, hey, it's only once a year! |

| So me and 10 of my closets friends should go to this thing. How else, would we finish the portions? I remember those fries from 2-3 years ago. They curled in a really weird way!

Chocolate bacon I can kind of imagine. The salty and sweet combo is classic. I just hate chocolate and bacon LOL
