| Sweets in the crockpot??? I stumbled upon this recipe for peanut clusters in a crockpot......I had no idea you could do this....... I wonder if they firm up when cooled or if they remain soft???? Here's the recipe if anyone wants to give it a whirl...... crockpot-candy.jpg Crock-Pot chocolate candy 2 lbs (36 oz) salted dry-roasted peanuts 4 oz (4 squares) German's sweet chocolate 1 12-oz package semisweet chocolate chips (about 2 cups) 2˝ lbs white almond bark 1. Put the peanuts in the bottom of a 4-quart slow-cooker. Layer the chocolate over the peanuts, beginning with the sweet chocolate, followed by the chocolate chips, and then the almond bark. Set the temperature on low and cook for 3 hours. Do not stir the mixture. 2. After 3 hours, stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until smooth. Drop the candy into cupcake pan liners, using about 2 tablespoons per liner. Allow the candy to cool completely before removing the cupcake liners. Makes 30 to 40 pieces.

| I know you can do LOTS of sweets in the crockpot....but I am not a sweet eater. The only "sweet" thing I have done in my slow cooker is homemade applesauce

| My ex had an issues with his ex when we were together. It's a long story but the utilities were in her name so we didn't have gas for awhile, and he had a gas stove. I had to make easter dinner with no stove or oven. ACK! Among other things, I found a recipe for crock pot coffee cake with canned fruit on top. It turned out really nice! |
