| Saving Flavors For Other Dishes..... What do you do? I'm a bit obsessive actually I boil chicken and duck carcasses to make stock Save bits of veggies in a bag in the freezer for "Soup Night" Freeze overripe tomatoes to go in sauces Save Parmesan rinds for pasta sauce or soups Freeze the leftover curry sauce from my take out for a starter for my homemade curry Save shrimp heads and shells to make a stock from reserve pickle juice after the jar is empty to A) DRINK!! or B) COOK WITH!! I have a million more Does anyone else do this?

| I dont do any of that or anything like that but Ill be readinng the thread to see new things I can do. I learn so much in this forum from all of you about food and things to do and try. I love to cook and I like to find new better ways to do it and new things to try. Thank you everyone for everything you contribute to this forum. Honestly this is my favorite forum on the site

| I do not go to that extreme- but you have given me some good ideas. I do try and save some things but I could be much better.

| I used to do the ice cube tray thing, when my bubs were little, with homemade soup - then defrost as needed. Now, I freeze a sprig of mint or a tiny chunk of lemon etc. (in water!!) in ice cubes to have in drinks in the summer.....but that's neither here nor there!!! |

| Ok Lisa. What in the world do you use pickle juice in? I see you drink it. I love pickles and pickle juice. My fav snow cone is pickle flavored. And did you know it is the best thing in the world to get rid of the hiccups!!??
