| Would you eat pancakes with a carmel apple topping? Would you pay to try it in a restaurant? At work we're doing featured Michigan items & apples will be in October. My manager said if I can come up with a recipe for apple topping for our pancakes he may feature it on our Oct. menu. As a newbie this would be awesome! I was thinking apple with a touch of cranberry at first, but the carmel just came to mind & I think that would market well in the month of October. Would you try it or does it sound gross/too sweet/etc.?

| That actually sounds really good! Especially if it was a nice tart apple with the sweetness then of the carmel. Yummy!

| Thanks, ladies, both of your ideas sound very good. Ideally I'd like to make something using a combo of ideas to make something unique. Hmm....all I'm thinking about today is apples, apples, apples.

| Caramel apple pancakes sounds good. I would also eat pumpkin pancakes (sorry, I know you're thinking apples).

| Sounds good, but I probably wouldn't order it. I'd be thinking too thick and too sweet (but you could do it in a way where that wuldn't be the case). I'd be more interested in like an apple butter topping. Also would love a pumpkin pancake or pumpkin spread.

| They do a pumpkin pancake, I'm not sure when that will start. I guess Alice Cooper was a huge fan when he stayed there & ordered them everyday. I'm not into cooking in front of a celeb just yet.

| I agree with Crystal apple butter! But then again, I don't have a sweet tooth, I eat my pancakes and waffles with butter only. However, if someone was inclined to satisfying their sweet tooth, I think pancakes with apple and caramel may just do it. Make sure they are green Granny Smith apples, those are the tart ones used for cooking pies.

| Mmmm...adding the crunch w the apples and caramel is a good idea. It would give a different texture and help cut down on the sweetness.
