Seriously, I was just like you all till menopause, and then I had to watch everything. Doctor told me a couple weeks ago I have diabetes, and now every meal is carefully planned, uncontrolled diabetes is an ugly thing.

| Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. I don't know if they still have it but I used to get a sugar-free coffee-flavored ice cream that was delish. My supermarket stopped carrying it a couple of years ago but I used to pick that stuff out over the other. I will post the name of it if I can think of it again. Until this week, I had almost lost my sweet tooth over the last few months but for some reason, this month I am craving sugar! Still, that Bacon Burger sounds awfully good!

| Diabetes killed my aunt's husband. He was determined to continue eating in an unhealthy manner, while only attempting to use medication to control the diabetes. He went into kidney failure, lost a foot, and finally it ended his life.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Thanks for the reminder, the doctor said, by the time I'd have symtoms, it's too late, you lose something, like a foot or vision. I really think they will learn much more about this disease, and all of you who crave carbs beware, if you don't have a good balance between complex carbohydrates, grain, proteins and fats, you will be craving the sugars. The good news is from all I've read a little dark chocolate is good for you each day.

| Dark chocolate is suppose to be good for you, but I don't like it. I worry that I will turn myself diabetic from the food I eat. Fortunately I don't have a history in my family. I worked in a nursing home and with Senior Day care and I have seen what horrible things diabetes can do to a person. Nancy, thank God you have found out before it got to bad and you can maintain it with diet,

| I love Milk Chocolate but cannot eat Dark Chocolate very well, even though they say it is good for you. Right now I don't want either of those - just on my pizza and sugar crave. At times throughout my life, I have been on crave binges before but it has been a long, long time since I have had one. Guess the various stresses this month have brought have sent me back in time to the old days. Right now I would love another triple Pepperoni-topped piece of pizza - hot and sizzling!!! But am so stuffed still from lunch, no can do.

| I ate so much chocolate and chocolate covered Krispy Kreme doughnuts when I was pregnant with my son ( he is 17 now) he can eat a 1lb Hershey Chocolate Bar and not even worry aobut it. Of course he blames this on me.

| Jadabug, when you are really hungry like now, is there any one thing you want most? Like a big, thick steak or huge, crisp salad or hamburger with everything on it? Or do you want something sweet?
