Was your baby having symptoms of some kind or did they detect it through routine blood tests? you're very lucky to catch it so early! | Well he was very sick. I knew something was wrong the first week or so. Thought he had kennel cough. Thought he was hypoglycemic. Vet just kept saying he was fine. One night he could barely stay conscious I rushed him to pet emergency. By this time I had done enough reading online to ask the right questions. So instead of putting him on an iv for an hour the vet did a blood ammonia test I think. |
