Alright you guys, here is the scoop...
I have been looking for a Yorkie and I inquired of this ad that I saw on Cragslist http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pet/585336811.html

She is a sweet 10 year old Yorkie. About 7 pounds. Still in good health but needs teeth work done and this years shots. She is a bit Arthretic but still loves walks and it doesn't prevent her from jumping up onto furniture.

If anyone has it in thier means to give this sweet senior Yorkie a chance, respond to this ad!

Why are they giving the dog away? Be careful of scammers!

She says she had to make a choice between having her toddler grandaughter around or keeping her dog. The Yorkie does not tolerate small children very well.

She is not asking for any money

I would proceed with caution and maybe you are meant to give this little one a loving home

Well the thing is I already have my Yorkie baby...I have been searching for one for my Grandmother now. My Grandmother is afraid to take in this one because she does not want to get attatched and then get a broken heart not much later down the road.

So, that's why I put the message out here in YorkieTalk, wondering if there was anyone else that would be interested in Sasha. (that's her name)

I just want to make this girl known to others in the area.

I wish I was in the area! Poor old girl, it's so sad to see an older baby lose thier life long home.

Caution....scammers very often offer a "free" puppy, or dog. They only ask that you pay shipping - yep...then you get nada. If someone rescues this sweeting, be very very careful.

Thank you the warning. I am very familiar with this scam. That's why I have been searching locally. Again, this person is not asking for any money and is not trying to re-home her Yorkie in a different area. She lives in Seattle and posted an ad in Seattle Craigslist. I already talked with her a lot about Sasha. I told her that although my Grandma wanted a younger dog, I would put the word out in YorkieTalk about 10 year old Sasha.

She said that a few local families have inquired about Sasha but have not responded back once she told them that she had a little arthritis and needed dental work done.

I agree that you should not pay someone shipping that is offering a free dog. I completely suggest that anyone interested in Sasha go personally to see or to get Sasha. No money involved.

This is why I posted the thread about Sasha in the NW region section of YorkieTalk.
