Hello! I am a newbie to the YT boards. My husband and I want to adopt a Yorkie in the summer for fall of next year. We've been thinking about adopting one for several years. I am so excited we are making the committment! Just wanted to say hello!!

You're lucky - you've got time to get all your questions answered before you bring your baby home! You're going to be a great Yorkie family!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! No, we don't have a breeder in mind. I've emailed Maureen from Crystal Yorkies, but we aren't sure if she is planning on having a litter near our ETA (expected time of adoption). Plus, we need to keep within a specific budget and hers prices were reasonable. We are still open to other breeders. If you have any recommendations for PDX breeders, please post! We need to find the right puppy that will fit our family. Fingers crossed!

hello and welcome! i just got my 2nd yorkie her in oregon, i talked to probably 30 breeds in the area before decided to go with the one i went with, price was a huge factor in my decision if you'd like any help or advice on finding a yorkie in the area pm me id be more than happy to help -kimber
