| Charlie's Heartworms A while back I posted a thread about Charlie having heartworms.... well we have gone thru the injections and now back on asprin for a few weeks. Starting Nov 1 we can start the prevention meds back! Dr. says everything looks A OK! Charlie is almost 12 Chihuahua/Pom Mix. He is a big boy, over 15lbs.

| Our neighbor's dog, a Border Collie, just went through the treatment for heartworms. It's supposed to be really rough on their system. Supposedly she had to be tied up and not allowed to run around at all or else the dying worms could detach and cause damage or death. Is that true? She made it okay though. Glad that Charlie is doing well.

| Your fortunate you caught Charlie's condition and it's was treatable....I'm glad he's recovering and feeling better... I've also heard the treatment can be terrible for them....I hope he's over the worst part...
