| Give her some children's Benadryl - it'll help with the swelling and the sting. |

| A Bee Sting Story...... Oh no! Hope that she is going to be OK! You may want to keep an eye on her for awhile as I have a story to tell. My brothers new puppy (retriever) was stung by a bee . At first it (face) started to swell, but then the little guys throat started to swell also........... AN ALLERGIC REACTION!! By the time they got to the vets office, he was having a very difficult time breathing...... (and they didn't take their time getting there, so it happened really quickly). They thought that they were going to lose him. Of course the first thing the vet did was give it some "benedryl" and then a steroid. He (retriever puppy) quickly recovered , but lesson learned......... bee stings can be dangerous for some dogs (just like they can be for people). The vet suggested that they keep benedryl on hand and told them what dose that they need to give. He said it would have given them some time and it wouldn't have been such a close call getting to the vet. Again, hope your little one is doing fine..... and yes, BENEDRYL, is a good thing to have around!

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Thanks Everyone!!! Tia is better today The swelling went down and is all better. I keep benadryl for my babies, but I didn't give her any just because she is so small and I was alittle nervouse about giving her something. So I watched her real good. (For those who don't know Tia, she's my little Cleft Palate Chi whom I raised with a bottle from birth) She's her fiesty little self today!!! Thanks to everyone for their care and advice!!! |

| Glad to hear everything worked out okay! My cocker spaniel had to go to the emergency vet when she was stung and was treated with a steroid...poor things throat was swelling and she just wasn't acting right...SCARED ME TO DEATH...these babies can definitely be nosey and curious so I always keep benedryl around now for sure! Glad your baby is feeling better!
