| saying goodbye is hard! My daughter's dog is aging and in alot of pain from arthritis, she is totally deaf, having vision problems and starting to have seizures at night. I pains us to lose her but my daughter has decided it's time. Safe journey to the Rainbow Bridge sweet girl. Below is her blog: The Best Friend This will be a hard blog entry to read for those of you who know Bandit. It is a harder one for me to write. Old age and failing health have caused us to make the hardest decision anyone who loves their dog has to make. So Friday morning we will give Bandit 2 tranquilizers and take her to the vet for the last time. Bandit is just shy of 14 years old. She helped me raise my kids. She was the fattest and cutest out of a litter of 12 and we knew she was going home with us when we saw her. Yes we went through all the chewing of furniture and accidents in the house but in the end it was all worth it. I don’t know how many times I got a frantic phone call from the kids while I was working saying Bandit had gotten out. When she did get out she ran far and fast as if she were going somewhere really important. When I found her I would stop the patrol car, swing open the passenger side door and yell “Bandit want to go for a ride” and with out fail she would stop dead in her tracks, you could almost hear her thinking, “cool ma where we goin? BEACH? PARK?” and with that she would get into the car. My spotted wonder. We love you with all our hearts saying goodbye to you will be one of the hardest things we have done but we respect you too much to let you suffer any longer. Love, Mom,Dad, Heather,Dan,Chelsea,John,Steph, Lola, and Oddie.

| I am sorry the time has come to say goodbye to a beloved family member. I know what your going through because I had to do it three times. It is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. It took me two years to get Buddy because of what will come one day. I thought about it and put pros and cons down on paper. Of course the pros far out weighed the cons to Buddy came into my life. Bandit gave you so many memories and happy times to get you through this painfull time. If she could understand what has to be done she would love you for not making her suffer anylonger. 14 years of love from your pet is a wonderful thing. Prayer's coming for you to be strong. Remember it's for Bandit not to have to suffer, keep thinking that and it will get you through this difficult time. Hugs, |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thoughts and prayers are with you. I, too, was faced with this decision a decade ago and fully understand how hard it is. God bless you for being so brave and unselfish -- as hard as that can be to convince yourself of at the time. |

| I am so very sorry that you are coming to the end of your long journey with Bandit. He will go on and wait at the RainBow Bridge for you. I am nearing the end of a long journey with our Boxer -- and I know how much it hurts. I cherish every single minute she is with us for they are numbered. hugs to your family |

| I am so sorry for your pain, but remember, what you have chosen to do, you chose because you love Bandit so much and want to end any suffering. She will love you more for it. When one journey ends, another begins - my your next journey over the Bridge be full of new wonders, so spread your little wings and fly into the wind. GodSpeed sweet Bandit.

| I'm so truly sorry about your baby. My Snoot is a little over 12 years old and we believe he had a seizure on Sunday. It was the hardest thing for me to watch and thoughts of losing him have been haunting me. I know how hard this must be and my thoughs and prayers are with you and your family.

| I"m crying as I'm reading this thread. I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I know how much it hurts. My parents had to do this very thing a year ago with their dog who was 13. I was home the weekend before and knew it would be the last time I saw her. I still miss her when I go home...their house just doesn't seem the same without her. Praying for your family.
