| Please keep my BitsyRoo in your thoughts My Maltese BitsyRoo went in for a routine dental cleaning today, and had the pre-bloodwork done prior. Vet just called and they can't do it because all three of her levels (alt, alk-pho and bun) that point to her liver are off the charts They are doing xrays right now to see what might be wrong. I am just sitting here with a bad feeling. waiting. Just wanted people to think well thoughts for her. Here is one of my fav pictures of her just relaxing on the deck

| OH no! Will pray that further testing shows she is really ok! Have you thought about what foods she's eaten? With the recalls and all....it is so scary!! Keep us posted and I do hope Miss BitsyRoo will be just fine!!

| Yes, I talked with the vet about any changes Bitsy has had. I switched all of my furbabies to Canidae after all this recall nightmare. Both her and my Bichon had previously been on the Nutro but showed no signs of illness and I pulled them off it immediately (the wet stuff). Anyway, most all of the ill dogs and cats have had the problem with the poisoning affecting their kidneys not their livers, so we don't think it is that. Anyway, thanks for responding, I will just keep waiting for them to call, and praying it is good news.

| Update on Bitsy The vet took exrays and her liver looks ok. Her levels are all double to triple what they should be concerning the liver. Vet thinks it could be infection but we won't know until Bitsy is off the meds. We have started her on two antibiotics for 10 days then she gets retested. IF her levels are still high, they are going to go ahead with the teeth cleaning with a different anesthesia protocol for the liver. Then if they are still high, we have to look deeper into what could be wrong. That is what I do not want to happen. So please pray that she is going to be alright, my little stinkerbutt.

| thanks everyone for your warm thoughts. BitsyRoo and I discovered each other on Valentines day in 1996 and she has been my whole heart and love ever since! She is going on 12 yrs old, so I am concerned. I just hope we hear good news after the next check up when we are done with the meds.

| Get better quick BitsyRoo! Thank goodness for the scheduled dental cleaning, they might not have found this when they did. I hope it's just an infection and she's better in no time!
