| Our new dog...SAD STORY..HAPPY ENDING Okay, so my husband and I were looking to rescue a Yorkie, because my male Jack Russell Terrier pays no attention to little Brooke who loves to play ALL of the time. Anyways, we saw an ad about a toy poodle who was housetrained, cratetrained, etc. The pic showed a beautiful little creme one year old male. Well, we drive one and a half hours and get to the ladies house and we see this MOP! She then explains that she does not ever brush or bathe any of her dogs because her whole house smells like dog after. Mind you her groomer was on vacation for the last seven weeks!!! To make matters more interesting, she is a "breeder" of goldendoodles, and currenly has a litter of ten, and two more pregnant females. The lady had standard poodles, and this poor lil guy, and doesn't brush them?!? So, I am thinking to myself, these puppies pee all over all of the time, and you won't bathe your house because it will smell like dog? But, we ended up taking the little guy...what a sweetheart! He sat on the bathroom floor with me last night while I cut off mat after mat..like the animal cops do on T.V! His hair was so matted it it all uneven and shaved ..he looks better than before though. There were scabs under the mats, and in certain spots his skin had starting growing with the mats and cuts appeared. I felt so bad for him.. but now we are just showering him with love so he opens up. Pics will be posted here later of his after pic, and the sheer amount of hair on my bathroom floor that I spent forever cutting off..you won't believe it!

| Bittersweet story Thank god for the animal lovers like you, who take these poor defenseless animals in with open arms. That lady is nothing but a backyard breeder! It's friggin sad! On behalf of the puppy you saved and myself, you deserve the biggest hug i can send. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | GOOD FOR YOU taking him - that's neglect and you can report her....to let those dogs rot in matts is a horrible thing to do. I'm so glad he's got you now - it sounds like he'd have been doomed if you didn't save him...not too many people would take a puppy in that condition. Welcome home Romeo ~!! I hope you love your new family |

| How sad for that poor little boy. Why after a year and half did she decide to sell him? Odd. I'm glad he is finally going to find out how wonderful it feels to be clean, loved and well fed. Bless you for looking beyond all the matts to see a sweet little soul. Bless his little heart. Is he neutered or was she useing him as a stud? I cannot stand BYB. They are not human!! That one just told you a pack of lies anyway. She never had a groomer. Those people wont spend a dime on the dogs. They are only interested in making money off of those poor neglected dogs. |

| She said she was selling him because her bigger dogs (standard poodles, golden retrievers) beat up on him. You could tell she was just in it for the money. Her daughters were very rude to us..asking us why we brought our yorkie in the car, etc. She said..well I can bathe him if you want..but he was in severe pain from the mats..the amazing thing is..that little angel did not nip me once, and rarely did he try to get away from me...he just laid there probably knowing that eventually he would feel better. She told me they crated him all of the time because he is not neutered and he kept trying to "get" her females in heat...OBVIOUSLY this woman is a genius! She originally bought him from a breeder in Ohio who obviously loved him and treated him well...if she only knew how this woman treated him..maybe on his records I can find the original breeder...tell him what conditions he were in..she would probably be extremely upset!

| I'm sure Romeo is so happy to be out of that chaos. I would report her, for sure. No dog should live like that. |

| Poor Romeo. Thank goodness you took him in; I'm sure he's relieved to be with people who will love him again. Too bad the woman still has dogs. . . maybe reporting her might be a good idea; she really shouldn't be allowed to have animals at all.
