After months of training, Captain (my Silky) turned 6 months and was able to be entered into his first show. I handled Captain in the ring today at the Fort Worth show and I am proud to say he took Best of Winners and won his first 2 points. I am very excited .... what a fun way to start!!

I did not get any pics at the show, but took a couple earlier this evening so his scrapbook. (Pay no attention to me....I came home and got comfortable...I hope to get some pics tomorrow of us actually in the ring.)

Congrats! Was this the show in FW? We (Shana, Kristie & I) were going to go, but I ended up going out of town. I don't know if they went or not.

Yes....it was the one in Ft Worth...it was a great experience. Today a older dog won over Captain - so no more points today - but Captain really showed well in the ring again and I am excited about these next fews months. (At the first of May is the national speciality for Silkies...so I am going to try and get to several shows in April to try and get some "experience" for both of us prior to this big speciality show.)

After showing Captain, we stayed around and watched the yorkies. It was a fun weekend! Next time there is a show in the area you should come!!
