| Bella is getting spayed today!!!! My baby girl Bella (maltese) is getting spayed today. We have had the appointment for a while and I am so nervous that something is going to go wrong!!!! We have to pay an extra $30.00 because she just started to bleed yesterday. My boyfriend just dropped her off at the vet so I am just hoping that everything goes well and she recovers fastly. She is also getting some teeth pulled and micro chipped. Benji isn't gonna know what to do without having Bella to play with for a while. I guess I will be playing lots of fetch.

| She will do fine...I would be nervous too though. My baby is 5 1/2 months old and I am nervous about her getting spayed. How old is yours? I don't know when to spay her. She is only 2.8lbs right now. I didn't know it costs extra if they are bleeding....Good luck with your baby. |

| Bella is 8 months. I have never had a girl dog so I thought they went in heat more like when they were around 1. She was also the runt so I thought I had a little longer. I was wrong though. I am glad they can still do it though because I really don't want her and Benji to hook up and I would feel horrible if I had to keep her in her cage all the time. I was reading some threads on here and it says you should do it between 6 months to a year. Thanks!

| Man, my boyfriend just called me and they told him that she has to stay overnight for observation. I had no idea about this. I thought she would be home tonight!!! I have to call the vet at 3:00 to see how she is doing.

| Haylee just came in heat too. So I was not fast enough to get her fixed. My youngest son has a 9 month old boston terrier male who is not happy at all because he is either in his kennel or tied to my coffee table. I called the vet today and he goes to be neutered on Friday. Believe me it can not come fast enough!!! I am sure your little girl will be fine but I would be nervous too. Thankfully Bubba will not have to stay overnight. It is costing 110 to get him fixed. |

| Thanks guys!!! My boyfriend should be picking her up as we speak. I wish I could have stayed home but it is a lot easier for him to leave work.

| She is doing great! Thanks for asking!!! The vet gave us some pain medication to give to her but she doesn't seem to need it so we haven't given it to her. She is running around and jumping on things...even though she isn't supposed to. It is like she forgot that she had surgery. I am a nervous wreck that she is going to rip a stitch or something. But I feel horrible about keepig her in her cage when we are home. So hopefully she will heal up fast.
