| Its all natural.. you can start when ever you want... since your pup has no issues now... you would only want to use the gel every 3 or 4 days, but brush or finger brush everyday to get um in the swing of things.... If you ever notice any build up at all, increase to every other or every day... But you should never have a problem since your starting with clean teeth, and if you feed dry food you'll be that much further ahead of the game

| because your baby is so young, let me call the manufacturer and find out for you. They would probably be a good resourse as well as you vet rather than taking a gander at it simply because it's all natural. I will keep you posted when I find the answer. We carry the product line on our website for a good package price. |

Taken from the site these are the ingredients: Grapefruit seed extract, grape seed extract, Thyme oil, Neem oil, Rosemary oil, and Peppermint oil. These are all specially formulated with distilled water and grain alcohol to produce one of the most effective and safest dental products ever produced. I was assured by the company that the formula was safe for all age K9's and felines. Its also safe enough for use on humans. Again... I'm so sorry I was so quick to respond.

| Yes, ALOT! the spray and gel helps with Zoe's breath big time. I am still trying to get in touch with Petzlife. I strongly feel that we need to exercise caution with young pups as their website and pamphlets DO NOT specify age. From my understanding, it is safe on cats and dogs in general....but it does not specifically say safe on all ages. If I had a puppy, I personally would consult a vet. They would ultimately be the best resource. Last edited by simonandhallie; 01-25-2007 at 10:34 AM. |

| I really did not want to get into a debate here... But let me clarify.... I did endless hours of research on all of my products before I ever decided to use them, and I don't carry anything on my site that I don't personally use on my dogs. This very queston of age came up when I was talking to the Owner of PetzLife about carrying his products. He said that it was not harmful and we all know that getting a puppy used to a brush at an early age is a good thing! We talked at length about all the ins and outs of how he devloped PetzLife, the formula, its use, and the growth of his company... its an amazing story! He's a really neat man, and I learned a lot!

there are alternatives to an actual brush. The manufacturer says you can: Great ways to use our products without the Brushing or Fuss! One trick that is working fantastically is to put some gel on a saucer or plate and mix in a dab of peanut butter. Dogs love peanut butter and they lick the mixture and it coats their entire mouth and gums. The peanut butter is digested and our product is left in their mouth, this is very effective at bed-time. Keep all other food and water away and it will work it’s magic all night long! Pet owners have sprayed their dogs favorite chew toy or bone and this has worked for them. For small dogs all you do is pat a dab of gel on dogs lips and they lick into their mouth and product coats entire mouth and gums. Remember, direct application is best with no dilution and occasional brushing , but these methods have been proven to work!! the other alternative is to try the spray which has the exact same ingredient but per manufacturer, is not as effective for heavy build up. Hope that helps! Last edited by sassypup; 01-25-2007 at 10:49 AM. | |

| If you dab a pea sized bit of gel on their lips, they will lick into their mouth and it will coat their entire mouth and gums. If your dog is larger, you can rub it along their front teeth and it will distribute throughout their mouth via their saliva... ewww... lol But its just like spraying... all you need is to get it IN there.. and it will loosen the Plaque and Tarter.. and then brushing will remove it faster... but if you JUST CANT! it will still come off.... just at a much slower rate... but it WILL come off.
