| My sister's pom My sister has an 11 year old pom she bought when he was 6 weeks old. He's her baby! She's taken him to the vet twice in the last week because he's not getting around well. The vet said he has arthritis and gave him meds for pain and to help his joints. He also said that Beau has a collapsing trachea. My sister knows that Beau is an elderly gentleman, and it's breaking her heart to know that his time is limited. I can't explain how much she loves this dog. My sister doesn't make a move without him and she works from home with him at her feet. Please pray for them both.

| God bless your sister and Beau. Losing a pet, especially slowly, is one of the most painful things I've ever experienced. May her heart be comforted knowing that Beau will make a very handsome lap warmer for Jesus. |

| my rottweiler has arthritic hips she's about 10-11yrs old i have had her sense she was about 6mon. old and she takes rimadyl 100mg they only bother her when it gets really cold and it hurts her to get up and move but after she gets going it gets better i know she wont be around much longer also but i thought that 2 years ago and she's still with us. as long as they have a quality life it's ok to keep them with us but if they are in too much pain and no good quality of life it's time to think about what's best for them not us as hard as that can be!

| Udate - sister's pom had to be PTS Stacye took Beau to a specialist this week and all his bloodwork came back bad. He had advanced liver disease, thyroid disease, both back legs had luxating patella. This little guy was SO sick. She called me this morning and said she had decided to have him PTS because he was in so much pain and nothing was helping. He couldn't walk anymore and she had not seen him even wag his tail in 2 weeks. I went with her and she was all to pieces. She cradled Beau's little body and cried like a baby. The vet who put him to sleep said he was ready. His little body was just ravaged and he was SO swollen from steroids. I feel so bad. First my son's cat had to be PTS last week, then his 11 year old min pin died day before yesterday and now this. I just want to hold on to my 2 little yorkies and cry.
