Porky Pug Anyone know how big (height, weight) pugs are supposed to get? Our friends have one and it's REALLY overweight...they got it from a friend of theirs that had to give the pug up because they were moving. She's a very sweet dog, but is HUGE and Emma's afraid of her because she snorts all the time and she won't play because she gets tired to quickly.

My grandpup is a pug. My daughter's dog Harley will be 3yrs in Jan. He is very much over weight, 27lbs and my grandchildren feed him everything. I have spoken to my daughter about his health but she does not listen to me. Harley is fawn and black. He is an absolute love. Buddy and he get along fine. It's true, they snore like an old man. When he spends the night he snores so loud it's funny. They are a great breed to have around children. Carol & Buddy

Thanks for the input..maybe this one isn't so far off. They said she was 35 lbs, but is down to 27 now, after losing some weight. This dog might be muscular under all that, but I think the poor dear has a way to go Poor thing! Glad to hear they're good around children-that might be a plus when this couple decides to have little ones!
