| Urgent, Prayers needed!! I posted this on the main forum and then thought perhaps it would fit better here...Lucky isn't in my house hold but he belongs to my sister... __________________________________________________ ______________ I hope this is ok to post this here, I just got off the phone with my sister. She owns a boxer and they were at the vet today and found three lumps on his neck and after some tests they called her back and she just found out that he has cancer! Apparantly this is the #1 cause of death for those types of dogs and they want to do surgery on him ASAP! They think if they do the surgery he should recover but the longer they wait the less the chances are. My sister has had him since he was just a baby and he truly is her "only child". Her financial situation isn't great at the moment and she's trying to raise money so that he can have his surgery done. She put up a jar where she works yesterday but so far she has only raised 8.00 dollars and the surgery is $200.00 + I wanted to post here to ask for everyones prayers that she'll be able to raise the money so that Lucky can get his surgery. My sister does have a paypal account if anyone can spare any amount to help I am sure she would be ever appreciative of it. If you PM me I can give you her paypal address. If not, please, please just keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He's really a sweet dog and I don't know what my sister would do if she lost him. I've attached two pictures of him. One when he was a baby and she first got him and the second one is him now at a one year and 4 months. |

| Just wanted to give everyone an update, my sister has been working overtime and through donations and help of other people she only has 50.00 more dollars to raise before she can put the down payment on the surgery. Once she does that they will stick her on a payment plan to pay off the rest! They would like to do the surgery by Thursday so she's going to try to raise the money by then. Thank you all for all of your prayers and help! She said that Lucky is acting like his normal energetic self so she is hoping and praying that they will be able to remove these cancer lumps and all will be well! |

I hope the surgery goes well and she can still try IMOM - tell her to email a few times - they DO answer - I wrote them a year ago for my sons very ill little weiner boy Mikey. Sadly Mikey didn't make it.... but they did write me back & if he could have been treated I think they'd have helped. | |
