My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Simon is at the Vets I have a 13 year old cat and he has always had urinary track problems. He's had surgery, but has always had/has problems. Well he's been peeing outside his box again. (on my carpet , in the bath tub, in the bathroom and today we found a piece of plastic down in the basement filled with pee!) There is one thing I can't stand and that is the smell of kitty pee! Well I feel bad, I'm supposed to have him on feline X/D and of course, the cost of it and only being able to get it from my vet.....well...I took him off it and have been feeding him a regular food for urinary health. So I took him in and they are going to do an xray (which they said they may have to put him out for ), check his urines etc...... I'm at my wits end....I feel so bad for him But I also can't take anymore of him peeing in my house. Sometimes? And I'm soo sorry to say this....I just want to put him outside! Any advice out there??? |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Poor thing - I don't have a clue to why he'd be doing that - I had cats growing up....Wishing you the best and hope they can treat him |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Well he has kidney stones and bladder stones. He's almost 14. Sooooooo......we are treating him with Hills S/D and Baytril. He can't touch the kidney stones, and he's worried about his age for another bladder surgery sooo, He gave me (well not "gave", I definatley paid!) Amoxicil but he threw it up both times. So I'm going today to get the Baytril. I have him locked in my bathroom. I feel bad for him A HUGE vet bill and a ticked off husband, a sick kitty, a cleft puppy, an emergency c section, almost losing her....Geesh...can it get any worse???? |

| How is Simon doing today? Better I hope. Poor thing. You can't possibly make him live outside if he has been an inside cat for all his life. What about putting more than one litter box around your home...maybe one in every room or something. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | He's a fighter He's feeling alittle better. I'm keeping him confined to the bathroom while I'm at work. He pees in the tub and in an empty litter box As long as he's peeing and does not get blocked, we are good. There is still blood in his urine. No I won't let him outside........I just get frustrated. Cat pee is the worst! At least in the bathroom, I bleech everything down and it all smells great again. With carpet..........ARGHHHHHH! |
