| Hi! I don't have one now but had a really nice male when I was a teen ager with my parents. He was a great dog. "Max" was black and white and full of energy. My parents are huge animal lovers and always had dogs and horses. I asked them for a yorkie as a child...I got a Cairn. LOL! We got the Shi Tzu when I was about 15 and he was a GREAT little dog. He did require alot of grooming...more so than yorkies in my opinion. |

| i have a s**tzu, her name is sheeba, she's 6 months old smart as a whip I have taught her to sit, and jump through a hoop, when she wants to go for a walk she brings me the leash or gets her buddy Raven(yorkie) to hang on to one end and takes her for a walk, for the most part she is a crap disturber, she will grab the yorkies tails and pull them off the couch and lay where they are, but the funniset thing is she just loves to give tons of kisses, her tongue is so long! LOL!!! We love her!

| I used to have one. She was sweet but ate poop and would literally jump in the air and smash her face into the mattress of our bed or on the couch!! She went to a really nice lady that Iknow and is the most spoiled baby EVER!! I mean shes probably more spoiled than our yorkies if you can believe that. |

| I had one for 15 years, her picture is in my avatar. I had to have her put to sleep just right after christmas this year. She was a great dog. The only complaint that I ever had was that she never completely housebroke. Other than that they are a great breed.

| I bought a Shih Tzu for my daughter last year for graduation. She is liver and white and has the most gorgeous light brown eyes. She is smart as a whip and loves my yorkies. Buyer beware though!!!! As with yorkies I found out after we purchased her that the breed has a large problem with Renal Dysplasia being a hereditary problem. Our girl was apparently born with a worst case scenario of the disease. Their kidneys are shrunken and have little function at all in filtering toxins out of their bodies. Therefore, she is constantly thirsty and urinates ALOT. Although she is good at going out we are not home all the time and therefore she has to go. We were told she would probably not live past her 1st birthday. She turned 1 on July 9th. She is a blessing and we love her dearly. She has such a wonderful spirit and we love her everyday as though it were her last. They are a wonderful breed but as with yorkies I would do alot of research prior to purchase. Puppies can be born with all stages of the disease and may not have any problems until they are older. She just happens to have almost no kidney function. If you wish to purchase a Shih Tzu I would make sure its parents were both tested and cleared prior to purchasing a puppy. Good Luck and God Bless All Doggies |
