| Horses??? How many people here also own horses? What kind and colors? I have a buckskin roan stud, a bay gelding, and a black bay mare. We just had a little buckskin filly 3 mo ago. They are all quarter horses.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | oh I'd give anything to own a horse! I've wanted one foreverrrr. so..I don't actually own him...but can I tell you about the horse I always ride, anyway? His name is Appy and he's an Appaloosa. Hes mostly tan with some white spots and a gold and brown mane.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Well, I don't have her now; but, I was owned by a palomino Arabian/Saddlebred mare for a couple of years. I loved her spirit; but, she proved too 'much' horse for me when she threw me - crushed my shoulder and broke my arm. Coulda been a LOT worse! I love horses, too; and have been privileged to ride QH, TN Walking, Rocky Mountain Racking (what a pleasure!) and Arabian.

| Well, we don't have any now, but both my husband and my daughter (Suz, on here) used to train racehorses. We had both TB and Quarter Horses. At one time, while they were both off somewhere racing, I had 19 to feed (and care for) at home, plus working full time. Now THAT was a full time job. But it was fun, and the most fun was raising a foal up to the time it would go into training and then see it accomplish something on the track. |
