| Clueless! We have a Lab mix, 7 year old female that we got from a shelter when she was 4 months old. She has always slept with us, and she is just a really sweet, loving pup. However, about 3 months ago she started waking me up several times each night. At first I thought she needed to potty, but she would refuse to go out. She started lying down and going to sleep as soon as she woke me up. For 2 weeks she has been going to bed with my daughter and everybody is much happier--she just sleeps all night and never wakes my daughter up in the middle of the night. I have come to realize that the main problem with her is that she gets scared when my husband starts snoring! Every time he starts snoring she climbs up on me! He has always snored and it has never bothered her before. Even our vet had no suggestions! Any ideas would be really appreciated.

| Awwww poor thing! My DH snores and it wakes me. Maybe your pup is like me! Miserable! There is NO sleeping when the snoring starts! If she does better sleeping with your daughter, why not let her? Then maybe the snoring won't bother her then.

| I forgot- Thanks for the replies! I see now that I completely left the reason for this thread out! Sorry...having Grace (pup) sleep with my daughter is wonderful--some nights Grace will tell Ashlyn(daughter) when she's ready to go to bed and Ash loves having her all night. The problems are 1) if my husband dozes off during the afternoon I wind up with a freaked out 100 lb pup trying to get on my lap even if I'm not sitting down, and 2) my daughter is leaving on Thursday for a week in Florida, then will be spending 10 days away again in August. Neither trip would be good for Grace. I guess what I most want to know is why this has started. My husband has always snored. Before she started being so scared, it wasn't unusual for me to come home some days and find hubs and Grace sound asleep next to each other. It breaks my heart to see her get so upset!
