Senior Yorkie Talker | R.I.P Guinness our beloved old boy Just to say "Guinness" our jack russell/scottish terrier mix had to be put to sleep this morning. He would have been 18 this coming march. We have had him since i was 4 years old (im nearly 21!!) so we have had him since i can remember and im absolutely heartbroken! Even though we knew he didnt have long left, i kinda stupidly had it in my head he would last forever so its such a shock to come home with him not here. My other two dogs Millie (yorkie) and Willow (Springer spaniel/ border collie cross) can sense that hes gone and arent themselves at all. Will be strange not to hear the tinkle of his collar and we will have to remember not to put a third bowl out at feeding time. Sleep well old boy, we will NEVER forget you, every christmas we will be remembering you lying on the tinsel and refusing to move, and keeping our feet warm as we rub them on your belly in the nights. Rest in Peace Guinny x x x x x x x x

Senior Yorkie Talker | thank you. our house feels empty now (even though we still have our other two dogs) theres that gap where he as a family member should still be. our dogs keep looking for him and whining i wish dogs could speak so that we could explain to them where their best friend has gone. ive never not had him in my life (well since i was 4) so its hard to imagine it with out him x

| I am so very sorry to hear of your precious Guinness. I can only imagine the pain you are suffering. To love a fur sibling as much as you loved Guinness and to have to deal with his passing must hurt beyond all reason. You are very blessed to have had your special little fur sibling during your entire childhood. I can only imagine the memories that you must have. Such a passing leaves a gaping hole in our heart. Allow yourself plenty of time for tears and memories. I can guarantee that one day you will think of Guinness and smile - that's when you know your heart is healing. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | thank you for all the kind message, i will pass them on to the rest of my family , espessially my mum, he was her little boy and her "4th child" Ill tell you about how we came to give Guinness a home: When i was 4 years old, we moved to a new street after my parents divorced and found that an old man that my mum knew lived only around the corner. He invited us around one day to show us his new puppy (Guinness) when he opened the door, Guinness ran out towards us and was showing his teeth and we were scared he would bite us (he was actually smiling - he used to do this all the time when he met or saw some one) Since we first et Guinness, his then-owner Dy would pay myself, my brother and sister 50 pence to take him for his daily walk as he couldnt do this himself. Dy then found out that he had throat cancer and was in and out of hospital. When he had to go into hospital, we would ask my mum if we could look after Guinness as we knew him and he knew us, of course we agreed. When Guinness was a year old, sadly Dy passed away. Before he was admitted to hospital for the last time, he knew it was his end and asked my mum if we would give Guinness a home and not let his son take him. My mum had us 3 kids, two cats and 3 fish to look after and never actually wanted a dog but with 3 kids asking and keeping on she accepted to take on Guinness and bring him home. It didnt take long for Guinness to become a fully fledged member of our family, playing football in the garden with us, even having the kids in our street asking if he could go out and play! He was such a funny character and everybody knew and loved him. He was my mum's shadow and never left her side. He used to put up with my sister and i dressing him in dolls clothes, pushing him around in dolls prams, feeding him through baby bottles, everything that little girls do to their pets but he never once growled, bit or complained about it. He was such a great dog that fate brought him into our lives and made our lives and my childhood richer and full of amazing memories. Rest in peace Guinny boy, sleep well our old friend x x x

| I'm so sorry for your loss of Guinness. I can't imagine the grief and pain you must be suffering right now, and how much you must be missing him. Even though he lived a long, happy life, it doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye. I will say a prayer for you, and send lots of hugs. Rest in peace Guinness.
