| BF just got a 6 week old Chihuahua!! My boyfriend's friend just sold him a 6 week old puppy. Ugh. I know pups dont need to leave their moms until at least 9 weeks old. I'm kinda worried about it. Does anyone have any pointers on strengthening its immune system? We took him to the vet, but hes still too young for his first set of shots. |

| Hes fine now. Hes playful and eating. I gave him a little nutrical earlier today. Hes not showing any signs of sickness. I just wanna do everything I can to make sure he doesnt get sick from being taken from his mom at a young age. |

| Nobody is going to be getting much sleep at night except when the puppy is sleeping!!! That is soooo young. Watch for low blood sugar and best wishes to BF!!!

If he wakes up in the middle of the night, what should I do with him? Feeding is necessary, but what about playing?? | |

| Limit playing to just a couple of minutes at a time. Keep the nutrical handy, make sure he's eating well and frequently, and make sure and keep him warm. The AC may feel good to you and me but one that tiny is going to be susceptible to chills as well as low blood sugar. |

| My poodles were very little and young when they came home many years ago. They did get up during the night a couple of times for a while. I would take them outside to potty in my backyard ( you could use wee wee pads it would probably be safer), they were given a little snack of food and then returned to their crate. We didn't play in the middle of the night because I wanted them to learn that the dark times were times for quiet. Good luck |

| I wouldn't take him outside- he hasn't had any shots and there are too many things lurking!!! I would keep him away from people, pets and the outside until he's at least had shots. Probiotics and vitamins are always great. Poor little guy still needs his mommy....

| I've talked him into taking him back to his mother. My boyfriend realized having a puppy is HARD! Lol. At least now, the puppy can be around its mother a little longer. I told the owner she shouldnt sell him until hes at least 9 weeks old. Hopefully she'll do it. |

| He said he couldnt give him back. Lol. The puppy is doing well. His appetite is great. I still carry nutri-cal with me everywhere though. Hes going tomorrow for his first set of shots. Hes starting to bite so I have to get rid of the biting asap. |

There is NOTHING to LOL about when you are a party to something detrimental to the well-being of a pup TOO YOUNG to be away from it's mother and littermates...DISGUSTING!

Owned by Bella & Tibbs Donating Member | I'm so happy I got Tibbs he was in a horrible situation yeah I know he was too young but I have taken great care of him and who know's what would have happened to him if he would have been left there! I mean say what you will but I would make this choice every time if I had to do it over!
