| ACL surgery Has anyone's dog torn the ACL in their knee? My 3 year old schnauzer has been limping for several months with it gradually getting worse instead of better. She doesn't seem to be in too much pain in the morning, but as the day progresses she limps more and more. I took her to the vet this week and he says she has a torn ACL and needs surgery. Just wondering if anyone else has experience with this ... and wondering if surgery is absolutely necessary.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My 2nd yorkie zorro had this. I had surgery and he still never put full weight on that leg. After the initial injury he did not seem to be in pain but i did the surgery and they also regrooved his kneecap at the same time. I would get a second opinion ot maybe someone here as more advice. |
